On Friday, 18th of September 2020, the fellows gathered online to participate in the activities of the second workshop of Iraq Leadership Fellows 2019-2020. With continuous funding and support from KAS, DT Institute, and IRIS, the ILF initiative seeks to foster positive change in Iraq.

In the four-day online workshop, fellows in the Political Candidate track were trained on writing and analyzing policy papers, while those in Social Activist Track were trained on non-verbal communication and managing social projects. Fellows also attended an extensive session with Dr. Akeel Abbas to understand aspects of protest movements.

The workshop also included opening and closing remarks from the supporting organizations, aiming to motivate the young leaders to adapt to the conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The speakers were:
