Wesam Sabah al-Sa’ad is a pharmacist who has been active in a number of high profile civil society campaigns in Basra – including a campaign to welcome displaced Iraqis to Basra during the war against ISIS, and a campaign to increase funding to the Basra Children’s Cancer Hospital. He is working on an initiative to create a new Iraqi political party.
